here is something that i'm working on.
solo guitar, no vocals
>tfw all "creative" anons disappeared
I'm not sure if furry porn can be posted here. Anyway, here's one of my best works. It was a fluke and I could never repeat that artstyle.
Drawing monster girls while avoiding studies
"Frodo,we need to speak..." Galadrial limped with difficulty toward the hobbit, adrift in his own thoughts.
"Yes,my Lady. I know what you're going to say:the Burden is heavy, but I need not shoulder it alone. I-"
"No,Frodo," she interrupted. "Although true, there are other things to consider. Your companions-" The rhythmic stutter to her voice was present, but hardly noticed by the hobbit. He interjects,"Pippin and Merry I can trust with my life, surely you can't object to their coming!"
She steadies herself before answering. "No,I have no fear for them but its-"
Frodo loks at her, gently vibrating with a solid pulse."Boromir?" She shakes her head. "Its...Gimli,Frodo."
He stares, shocked. "You don't trust him?",but she just smiled.
"I do. It's just that he won't stop humping my leg." Both looked down beyond the Mirror, the top of a hairy head bouncing and grunting. "You know him better than we of Lothlorien. Is there some charm to impell him? Some crowbar handy?"
Frodo doesn't answer at first. Then with a meek and longing look, whispers,"Can I have the other leg?"
Long was the silence at Galadrial's Mirror. If you don't count the grunting.
(I tried to start a Post a Random Picture and Write a Possible Conversation thread on /lit/ recently, offering this as a starting point. No one tried.)

Online tutorials, trials and error, and practice. Use lots of stock photos as reference too. The most important thing to learn is colour theory, really makes a massive difference.

THE ROAD.
There'll be a day
i'll shave my head
and walk along the lonely road.
Along
until my feet they ache
and until my shoes they do bare holes.
I'll bring a denim backback.
I'll dress my month worn clothes.
Down the mountain, drag my feet
on earth that meets the rain
tired, of this world
no more; i shall walk
along the road, along
the lonely stones that crawl
between the toes that wear my shoes
and sleep, in empty pockets no longer used.
And in a dream, a distant day
i'll hum a different tune.
Alone i'll talk
along the road, beneath the dark
at night between the moon that shines
leave behind the oaks and pines.
Along the road the lonely road
along, the lonely road i'll walk.
And in that day i'll hold my hands
on true and distant joy, and free
along the road, the welcome road
beneath the sun, the rain that falls
the empty song that darkness calls
the secret talk
when minds do break,
a different kind of man i'll take.
On the road, the lonely road.
Along the road that silence stalks.
Along the road, the lonely road.
Along the lonely road i'll walk.

Yeah, but it's mostly acoustic folk stuff like this
http://vocaroo.com/i/s0H0OYulbsZj
http://vocaroo.com/i/s0o2wEqVt065
http://vocaroo.com/i/s1mnqEUNlqn7
But also some electric/synth stuff like
http://vocaroo.com/i/s0V3qxDB6mWh
I made a Spitfire in solidworks for my drafting final and I got to 3D print a white model of it and now I'm painting it.
How do I start drawing
I'm afraid of failure and am eternally frustrated and discouraged by myself
>>36549629
There are a lot of books you can read on the topic. Go read the sticky on /ic/, it'll help you out. Also, if you choose to teach yourself to draw, you will absolutely fail at first and you will definitely feel like shit, but just keep at it, draw errday and you'll git gud eventually
>>36546320
Nice one dude! It has depth
>>36549629
dont expect it to be fun and rewarding. youll never be satisfied.
>>36549473
possibly a week, been pretty busy cause I am actually trying to find a new job and I only ever work on it in like huge bursts and then nothing for awhile

I don't want this
I want a creative outlet
>>36549769

>>36549564
yo, i really like what you're doing, who are your influences?
>>36549745
>>36549769
yeah this is why i quit drawing and started playing guitar, its a lot more immediately satisfying
>>36549629
It will fucking suck for a lot of time until you get decent. Even people who treat it like a full time job need 1-2 years to get good and if you are on r9k, chances are you don't have the dedication to get good fast. I've known a few robot-like people who tried to get into drawing and failed because they got discouraged too fast. I myself drift from ambitions to being disgusted with myself and back; I have been an on and off drawfag on various boards here for years, so the feeling may very well never go away. I'm not going to posting my work because I don't want certain people to find out I'm posting on r9k as well, sorry.
Anyway, if you really want to try, just read the /ic/ sticky. They tend to be overambitious about things though, so if you just want to draw cute anime girls or fancy dragons, start copying good artists first, that's how vast majority of people start, even if many won't admit it readily.
Who here /tg/?
I like painting WWII tanks especially. Don't get a chance to actually play with them often.
I've picked up spriting since about half a year ago
>>36546580
>Long was the silence at Galadrial's Mirror. If you don't count the grunting.
Cut this and you're golden.
Frodo asking for the other leg is the perfect punchline.
Other than that the structure and content is great, you just need to polish it up.
I recently went back and re-read a Spec Pilot Script I wrote a couple of months ago.
It made me very sad. It's not very good and needs to be completely re-written now that I've got a much better handle on the focus I'd like to take and the character's personalities. I'm fine with that part, I knew I had to completely rewrite it a week after I finished it. What made me sad is that while re-reading it, I was laughing my ass off at quite a few parts and I know that those jokes aren't going to survive in the next draft because they don't fit in the new story or with the characters as I now see them.
It's very bittersweet.
There's an online radio sketch comedy program which I'm going to be submitting something to once they open up submissions for the next episode.
I wrote this short sketch the other day, I'm going to polish it up and send it in for the show. Hopefully, I'll get to hear it performed.
http://docdro.id/ibEjdDs
I also printed out all the little scripts that I think are good and just need refining instead of a complete rewrite and now I've got a nice heavy stack of scripts in my drawer.
It's only around 70 pages altogether but holding them in my hand and actually seeing them physically is a really big reward for me considering I stopped writing for years out of shame. It feels good to have a physical reminder in my hand of why I should keep writing.

Fa/tg/uy here,
Im currently working on a 3 flying daemon prince daemons list for 40k, its getting there.
>>36549913
I guess a lot of neopsych stuff like Animal Collective, Master Musicians of Bukkake, and The Flaming Lips. Also stuff like Dr. John, Exuma, Kim Myhr, and Vashti Bunyan.
Lately, though, I've been writing a full length album since around christmas, and I've been listening to classical composers like Debussy, Scriabin, and Liszt, and a lot of Jazz records just to listen to the piano and how they compose and stuff

Going off this, don't stick around too much in /ic/. They profess to give you critique, but each has learned in radically different ways, or is talking out if their ass. They will give you conflicting and unproductive information and you will be none the wiser. I'd say do drawabox com and go from there

All I have ever wanted is to be in a punk band that's kind of good but also kind of shitty

Thanks for list, i'll definitely check out some of those artists. I'd really like to intergrate some of the sounds you use in my own work. Do you have a soundcloud account or anything?
OC gondola. I also took the picture for this one.

I do, though a lot of the stuff I put on there is just short little sounds, but I put full songs on there sometimes too

Here's another script, fresh off the line.
http://docdro.id/vyQCDbz
It's for a small personal project I'm working on. I'm writing a pilot script for a Mockumentary series about Australian Pornography Studios in the ACT.
Basically sketches featuring recurring characters in the same location similar to Reno 911 or The League of Gentlemen.
I'm having a lot of fun with writing it in general but this specific scene was a bitch to write because it's an extremely visual one and I had trouble conveying it in just text. Acting it out, it's easy to explain but in text alone I had some trouble.
>it's another hobby thread that anon wishes he could participate in but never has the motivation to actually take part in his own hobby
does anyone here do their hobby basically full time (neets, for example. and I get the oxymoron that a hobby is something you do in your pasttime not all day every day but ignore)?
as a neet, it's kinda what I wish I did with my time, just art constantly, but obviously it never happens. do you have a schedule? did it just happen? what do I have to do
>Want to make highly detailed art pieces
>Only capable of making shitty cartoon styled sketches with low amounts of detail that take too long to make
The struggle never ends.

around 3 years ago i was full neet mode. Practiced at least 8 hours a day for months.
Too lazy to continue tho.

There's a video in youtube. Dynamic sketching by peter han or something like that. that got me started.
Lots of tutorials floating on the web m8.
>>36552711
Post the image next time, you dork.
These threads more than any other remind me of what r9k was like back in 2008. Anons doing their own thing and sharing it with others who respond with civility and respect.
I just finished a book of all my past graphics.
I make music, but now I'm cutting my arms so give me a nice meme to carve on my arm.

8 hours a day is exactly what I want basically it's rubbish that I want it all the time daily but never ever try. I always just figure it's a waste of time and I'll never be good, but I can't even find out on my own. Thanks for youtube video bro will watch now.
