Your job doesn't require you to spend money to keep it. You don't have friends that live outside your city. You don't need an expensive vehicle for work. Nice luxury of a low paid job but if something comes up and you blow your $5,000 savings it will take you a long time to recoup it.

I spend my money on tires and tools for my truck. I burn through a $40 pair of jeans in 2 weeks and am often no where near a kitchen so I eat out a lot.
