I was being sarcastic. Alcohol is very dangerous when you use it to try and escape the bad feels.

If you're going to make your life worse by becoming addicted to a drug at least make it one that increases motivation.

alchohol may loosen inhibitions, which allows you to progress with things in your life

it may also give you a life long dependence and cripple you years down the line

With me (and I think most people), alcohol just exacerbates what I'm feeling. So if I'm down and I drink then I get even worse. If I'm ok-ish or happy, and I drink, then I get fucking ecstatic. Sounds like you wouldn't benefit from it.
