Where I come from my height is below average but not a HUGE DEAL. Like it's probably similar to being 5'8 in the US.

But I made the mistake to move north because of work. Now it's very hard to get any girls interest because here I'm a below average female height. In three years here I had only had a girl express interest only four times and never got much out of that either. But I know a couple of guys my own height who have gfs so I'm not sure if it's entirely my height or there is more to it.

In terms of respect, it might be cultural. I don't think I had much trouble with that. But I also work in the sciences so it's mostly the brains that matter.
