If you don't have any musical knowledge you can fuck around on the guitar until you find a riff that you like and then change it up, improvise on it a little, maybe come up with a second riff then find a way to tie them together and hey diddly hey you've got yourself a song.
If you have musical knowledge then pick a scale you like and fuck around in there until you've got it.
Write some lyrics (don't fuck up, write in good time with the music).
Helps to hear the drums in your head if you don't have a set; you could try making the sounds you like with your mouth and then relaying it to a drummer.
No one cares about bass so just have them play root notes who gives a fuck
Singing is all about knowing the limitations of your voice: don't try and do something your body can't do, it'll sound like crap. Don't fear your voice though, everyone hates how they sound on record and you will too.
Practice whenever but don't go too long without doing it.
If you don't have friends your job is kind of easier and kind of harder in that you have to do step 1 like 4 or 5 different times from scratch each time but you have more control.

So actually I can't sing at all, but I've always wanted to so I've been trying to learn for about a decade a now. I just don't have the voice for it. That being said, my situation is actually pretty rare. Most people do have voices that can be molded into singing voices, no matter how bad they sound. You can't usually turn a good singer into a great singer, but you can turn a bad singer into a decent singer. But because I've spent so long trying to learn how to do that myself, even though I can't actually do it, I know the techniques. Our singer had only started singing the week of our first show, so she does have a lot of a natural talent, but I coached her up quite a bit. The biggest thing for female singers is learning get out of the high, breathy voice you want to sing in naturally. You want to sing from your chest, not your head. The more air you push out when you sing a note, the easier it is the manipulate your pitch.

But then I just kept learning songs that I thought were cool for like 11 years and now I'm a functional rhythm guitarist at least. My personal suggestion for you, if you really want to play in a band, would be to learn an instrument instead of learning to sing. Singers are honestly a dime a dozen, but drummers?
