Here in Canada, we have two types of cards, debit or credit.

My credit card gives me 1% to 5% on literally every single transaction. Just from regular spending I end up with an extra 20-50 bucks in a normal month, more during Christmas or if I go out a lot and get people to put the bill on my card and have them venmo me money..

Debit cards work on the same network with the same fees so the stores have already increased their prices to compensate. Plus when fraud is committed the banks are way faster about finding the fraud and getting the money back since its their money that was taken instead of your's. Most of the halfway decent ones will offer warranties on products if you pay with your card.

Using a debit card is for suckers. Literally the only thing you have to do is not spend money you don't have and you get a ton of benefits
