The voice is what's supposed to lead the melody, but that still needs a lot of work. I see what you mean, hopefully I'll manage to get in some decent vocals so it doesn't sound so backgroundish at parts.

I had a couple of drinks with my uncle and cousin yesterday. We had a really deep introspective conversation about family matters then we joked around and played darts.
