I do my running in the fucking Bronx (I'm white), and I run a lot. I'm an ultra marathoner.

You can't live your life as a victim. If you're worried about your safety, get a can of pepper spray and blade (assuming they're legal where you are). Make sure you watch a few YouTube videos on how to use them, and practice a couple times. No big deal.

You're just making excuses. I was running 50 miles a week all winter here, through the snow and sleet.
