Honestly it's been better than I'd expect
Most /r9k/ thing was finding out someone lived in the general area I do on /britfeel/ and as we posted more the area got smaller and smaller until it was kinda creepy and we found out we lived 15 minutes walk from one another, that feel when we talk and play games together quite often but have never actually met IRL in like the year and a half we've been speaking.

They are filled with attention whoring normalfags. There is no point in joining those groups.
I've only recently added some people, and results were split. They could be a guy I have one really nice chat with or play one game with, but then I never hear from them again and they stay on my friends list. Or, they add me just to say hi and then remove me before I remove them.
Not surprising to me, but most of the latter were weeb profiles from steam feel threads.
