For those who never leave their room, how do you avoid repetition and boredom?
I don't go outside but I get quickly depressed because vidya/anime can't cover escapism.

Play different vidya and watch different anime. Sometimes it gets overwhelming and you have to ride it out like a bad case of withdrawal symptoms.
Learn how to do something that takes a lot of practice to get right... sleight of hand, calligraphy, get a new instrument maybe something small like an ocarina.
Get weird. Get interesting.
play video games and refresh 4chan and listen to podcasts and stuff for 16 hours until I get a headache, and then go to sleep
sleep the pain/loneliness/depression away

i just try to git gud at games. The sense of progression keeps me from thinking about my failure to become a functional adult and the impending reality that i will soon be homelessness.
