Do you know what i like the most about history?
Thinking about these men who died for some king or whatever that I can look for in wikipedia and laugh at him if i want from my comfy bedroom

i dont mean they are dumb, it could have happened to me
i just feel comfy to think that everything that worries me now will be seen as a joke in 200 years
it make me feel easy
>some king living in a big fancy manor or castle
>surrounded a few "higher born"/rich living in houses
>surrounded by peasants living in huts with dirt floors
>everyone bows down to the king and envies his life of comparable luxury
>hundreds of years later I'm a peasant who lives in a small one bedroom apartment and my life is so much better than his it makes him look like a caveman covered in his own shit
They didn't even bathe back then.. they were stinky and their bodies were covered with gross skin diseases.. they had to wear itchy awful heavy clothes and had no air conditioning.. and they had to poop in buckets.. their beds were lumpy.. they had to watch some faggot dance around and act like an idiot for entertainment.. their food was rotten and boring... everyone was an idiot who talked about god all the time.
>reading history
>so much of it is about how some group didn't agree with what another group thought about some lines in the bible so they murdered the fuck out of each other
...like living in the fucking middle east.
ugh.. its about a degree too warm in here for my maximum comfyness.. gonna go turn on the A/C...
>tfw you realized most of humanity's history is full of war, genocide, torture, slavery, rape, poverty, starvation and diseases and we are just one of first generations to have it relatively better
>tfw our comfy and safe modern world is actually abnormality
>tfw civilisation can easily fall and we go back to middle ages or even prehistory
It actually scares me.
>ywn never impregnate entire towns of women who lost their men in the battle of antietam
>ywn be a loyal, chaste knight, slaying heathens in some foreign land for your God-King

How autistic are you that you find humor in a man getting forced, at threat of death and death of his family, to fight for a warlord in a fight he doesn't care about.
