i take sponge baths with lukewarm water and no soap or shampoo

Warm showers are like fast acting blankets and I honestly keep my surroundings freezing most of the time anyway. Warm showers are a good way to make me sleepy.

Like, cold showers are supposed to wake you up in the morning, but I'd rather wash off the dirt before I get in bed, rather than after sleep in said dirt.

Maybe I should start doing both? Idk that would be an extra 30 minutes of time wasted per day on cleaning myself.

I'm addicted to taking baths. Scalding hot water takes my troubles away and makes me feel clean. Apparently this is common with people who've been through sexual abuse.

You underestimate how cold I keep my room, and how much colder I would keep it if allowed. The air is not warmer than a cold shower.

my mom paid some plumber to put in a system to guarantee cold water doesnt come out of our faucets anymore because we used to have an in pipe water cooling and heating system(so we could have freezing cold or boiling hot water on tap) and id take showers so cold my lungs would start to falter and sometimes id pass out.

Hot water has never made me sick. From what I've heard rumors about, cold water temporarily weakens the immune system. So I'm not changing from the thing that has never failed me to something that might fail me.

I mean you could stop with the whole "you won't get sick doing the same thing that made you sick" and "getting frozen awake helps you fall asleep" arguments and instead try something relevant to me like "cold showers cause weight loss", but it doesn't really matter cause I still dislike cold water for the time being.
