Schizo is too hard. I've been hospitalized a few times (really got drive home the story) and by far the most complicated and least diagnosed mental illness is Schizo. The few I have met are fucking wackos, it's very obvious upon meeting them that something is wrong. With everything else though (depression, anxiety, even bipolar) the symptoms are more subtle so you can bullshit your way through them. There's no real testing process, just go to a psychiatrist (needs to be someone with a MD) and get a diagnosis. Should only take a few sessions. Added bonus is some pretty comfy medication

The reason I chose schizo is because there are many that only have positive symptoms and can speak perfectly fine. I have a friend that has it legitimately and you'd never tell except that he thinks he is connected with the universe and hears souls talking to him. Industrialization has come to a point where a portion of the population really doesn't need to work at all to have all their needs satisfied; with better social regulations on reproduction and the forming of families, the quality of life of those persons increase, and through further industrialization even less have to work for all to live comfortably. However, since we're still using some bullshit ancient form of capitalism, those people who don't need to work anymore need to prove themselves they're worthy of surviving, thus bullshit jobs that don't increase productiveness in society are made, redundant competence is promoted with the goal of making a group starve while the other one hoards all the resources, the service industry increases and has people punishing themselves doing a job that won't help anybody. In the end the goal of capitalism is to have everyone working to prove they are worthy of being fed, NEETs just fall through the gaps and take advantage of their family or social reforms by the new democratic socialist governments.

There's a vicious cycle in which a society with slave mentality creates people with slave mentality that supports such society. Extremely few people are actually happy with their lives, it's extremely rare to find someone who actually loves their job, the rest of them do theirs because they had no other way, but even then most of those still hope that one day their turn comes to be the ones with power and able to fuck over those in the positions themselves are in this moment. Some people just can't see a world in which people are actually happy doing the things they like, they feel offended by it, after all they have justified their whole lives through the slave system and achieving mediocrity is meaningful to them.

Bipolar depression is pretty easy too, just pretend not to respond to anti-depressants and then when they put you on lithium or something pretend to feel better. ADHD is very easy to fake, but won't get you much. It's a nice addon though. i've wandered into this thread and i'm an undergraduate attempting to eventually go for that LCSW degree

an LCSW master's degree doesn't at all imply that you work for any social services or are a social worker per say; from my information such a degree is just more flexible for employment (outside of private practice you may run) and slightly more lucrative

ie. i'll be getting an LCSW degree but attempting to occupy the billet of counselor or therapist

If you're over eighteen then they can't really just "commit" you, that's more of a meme. At all the hospitals I've been to, I checked myself in and checked myself out. The only time they commit people is when they can prove that the person is dangerous. Don't go in with all your best material on the first day, wait it out.
