>have this autistic thing about not killing bugs
>whenever there's an ant in my house, I step my foot a little bit infront of where he's moving to
>without fail, they always climb up onto my foot, possibly to climb over it(?)
>then slowly walk to the door with the ant riding on my foot and gently nudge him off onto my porch

I've eaten a praying mantis before while it was live.
Crunchy as fuck, but palatable.
Felt like washing it down with some roast bumble bee dipped in honey.

The ant will slowly starve to death, because it can't find home again.
Anyway, I don't live in the tropics or in an old house, so the only insects I have are flies and spiders. I keep the spiders alive, just clean out webs now and then. I kill every insect I can find. I only keep the spiders because they are apex predators and their presence means that there is prey that hides from me. If I kill the predators, the population of the prey will explode.
Once I went to bed and there was a spider behind my pillow. I almost killed it, but then I thought "What's it gonna do?" and just went to sleep without disturbing it.

I have the same stigma about bugs, except for ants.
In 3rd grade at my summer camp, one kid pulled a daddy longlegs spider apart, and I was really triggered about it. When he went and grabbed another one I punched him square in the face before he could tear it apart and had to leave the camp for the week to "calm down".
That's when my parents realized I was autistic.

i usually let mosquitoes suck my blood, i also like to let flies scuttle around me.
i usually think that killing bugs leaves a bad mess and feels disgusting but i also think that they have as much right to live as we do.
One of my favorite things about summer is fireflies (we call them lightning bugs around where I live).
Super chill bro-tier insect, I love catching 4-5 and just having them chill in my room before they fly out in the morning into the cool, dew-filled breeze.

No joke, get tested. You probably have a blood disease.
