Where I'm at you can buy a shitty fifth of vodka for $9-10, which is about $0.50/drink. The cheapest you'll ever find beer is Natty Ice at $18/24 pack. That works out to about $0.65/drink. Also you can mix the shitty vodka with stuff like lemonade to make it not taste like ass, which you can't really do to cheap malt liquor.

A pack of like 8 beer is maybe $6 while a bottle of liquor is $14.
