I want to be free of caring about what people think of me but still tied down to it a bit.

Once you realise you were fucked from the get-go and stop fighting against the inevitable life actually becomes good. I used to have dreams of commiting sudoku in my preteen years. Each year it feels like it draws nearer (not that I haven't tried before). And I don't give a fuck.
