Passing is too hard and terrifying and I don't want people to know I'm trans, this way I can be invisible but still feel better. Dysphoria instantly got better once I started taking female hormones. It's still pretty bad though

Gender identity is biological and innate.

If you raise a boy as a girl, their brain will tell them they're a boy even if they don't know the truth. Their gender identity is fixed and innate, this is why David Reimer insisted he was a boy when raised as a girl.

Transsexuals are people born with the incorrect gender identity. It's also fixed and innate. This is why children as young as three insist they are the opposite sex, and never grow out of these feelings, often attempting transition when they're 20, 30 etc. often leading themselves to suicide because they can't reconcile their body and gender identity.
