I don't really smoke but I keep a pack in the house for really bad days. On such days I go out and smoke 1 or 2. And it calms me down, it really does. Now, I would really like to know why. I doubt it's whatever is in those cigarettes. Is it because I go out and look at the sky for 10 mins? Or because I inhale and exhale slowly while smoking? I don't know. Now I have a weird nice warm feeling at the back of my throat and I feel a bit dizzy but in a good way.
But there are bad things as well. I don't like the aftertaste at all and finger smell and I feel little pains in my lungs. My body is resisting.

Literally it is "what's in those cigarettes" it's called a nicotine buzz
Snus is a much safer way to consume tobacco than smoking.
You get all the nicotine (and then some) without inhaling carcinogenic smoke.

Hmm.
Do I get it because I smoke very rarely?
Like maybe a pack a year or less.

How big is your trailer? Is the park nice? Public garden?
After a while you stop feeling dizzy, you don't feel anything. Nicotine buzz my ass.
t. pack a day smoker

If you rarely consume nicotine your nicotine tolerance will be lower than if you consume nicotine often.
There are many other psychoactive drugs in the tobacco plant as well, like MAOIs.

Snus isn't dip or chewing tobacco so whatever jab you're trying to pull doesn't really make sense.
If anything you should be asking something about reindeer, snow, and Sami qts.

The nicotine acts on the central nervous system in a calming but stimulating manner, improving focus, etc.

I quit a 30 a day habit that I had for 7 years 2 years ago, I started like you, I cringe when I think about the wasted money, I would budget everything around getting a pack and a half a day.
by the time I quit it was 7.50 quid a pack, the brand I smoked is 10 quid now, you don't even notice your smell or taste going but when It comes back its amazing
I would be out of breath and weezing on a 5min walk to get another pack, I can run up and down the stairs for 30min now

its why people smoke. I just quit for the 3rd time but last time I had 2 years off. good for you for being able to keep yourself to like a pack a year.
I get the same feeling just going outside and having that break. Slow breathing in and out much like smoking helps calm and soothe. Try it. I found it very helpful like a little meditation break. The only thing missing is the additional energy/focus boost that comes with a cig
