I mean, Scotland would pretty well by itself. They want to increase immigration to solve their aging and declining population, but Australian, American and Canadian families are instead being deported because they can't meet the criteria the home office set when they're a net boost to the local economy where they've settled. This is stuff like "You must employ 2 British nationals".

They have a growing renewable energy sector which the EU stepped in and funded after the UK cut funding to it. And they also have more educated people per head than the UK.

I can definitely see why they'd want to have more power over themselves rather than having policy projected to them proportionally based on their GDP.

And the FPTP system isn't helping. 37% of the UK voted conservative last election, but they win by minority due to the broken electoral system giving them 51% of the seats of which only one person in that party is a Scottish MP.
