Generic engineering school and party school are more often than non not mutually exclusive. Most universities are party schools one way or another. It just depends on if they have rigorous academics or not which may or may not include an engineering program if the school has the dosh.

I get all living essentials for free, the meager cash I earn is for hobbies/etc. Once you rank up a bit the pay isn't bad, especially if you become an officer. A captain with 10 years under his belt makes $70,000/year.

In about a year or two I'll get to move out of the dorms and I'll be able to move into a house or apartment off-base, which is also paid for free by an allowance, and I can keep any extra money left over from paying the rent.

I actually spent my teens socialising, attending parties, drinking, doing drugs, showing up to college pissed/high and I'm not going to lie to you guys, it isn't glamourised at all, they were the best years of my life and it bums me out to think that there are people that didn't get to experience that.

The music is playing, the bass is loud, the alcohol is flowing, everybody is young, supple, inexperienced and their are teen girls walking around in their underwear.
There's a group of people in the centre of the room necking dragon sauce for a dare, somebody's brought some soju that their teacher sister brought back from South Korea, another has managed to get their hands on some absinthe and we're all doing shots.
There's a pack of stoners outside smoking and they're all down for sharing, there's some majestic faggot in the corner playing a flute, a pan of vodka on the table with straws sticking out of it and suddenly some coke has appeared next to it.
Some slut is having a screaming match with her cheating boyfriend, but they'll be shagging in the master later, the sink is full of puke and at least one person has passed out on the sofa at this point and has had their entire body illustrated on.
The banister has been ripped off the stairs, somebody's taken the curtains down and is now using them as a toga and plastic cups and bottles of alcohol litter every inch of every surface
Everybody is beautiful, everybody is happy, everybody is drunk and/or high, and EVERYBODY wants to fuck. It was incredible.
