I also don't give a singular fuck about anything people would call /r9k/ culture. The parts of /r9k/ culture which I like the most are the things that people who don't browse /r9k/ care about the least. I come here because I like the people here, I like talking to anons, I like cute boy threads, I like the subtle relation to otaku culture, these are not things that people think of when they think of /r9k/ culture. Frogposters and their ilk share this board with us but I don't really consider that kind of shit "our culture" - the frog meme especially has grown to be larger than us.

as long as the things I love about the sites I browse don't change I will continue to use them. I don't care if other sites adopt these aspects of the culture here or if they pretend to imitate some small aspect of our "culture", it doesn't really affect us or me in particular.

The one case I can think of in which the situation you are talking about might have negative effects on our board is if a kind of positive feedback happened due to /r/incels, where people who associate that site with /r9k/ culture come here and change this site to be more like theirs, in turn bringing more and more people.

But that isn't really happening, if anything, we are moving away from the kind of discussion and board culture that is on /r/incels, so I don't really think that's a problem
