I spent a month in Spain and it was great. Granted, it was because I was there with a girl, but I liked the anonymity Madrid offered.

I felt like such a dumb tourist. I fucking went to Barcelona KNOWING people that lost their wallets that way, thinking "oh that won't happen to me". And then it did.

Spain has some top tier contributions to the arts though. Don Quixote is one of my favorite stories. Not to mention the renaissance paintings that rival the Italians.
