Just because you're emotionally stunted doesn't mean you're evil. At the very least you're smart enough to know that you will be ejected from society for behaving in such a way. Most autists I've met in my lifetime want social acceptance. They just fail miserably at attaining it.

I read somewhere that people with ASD have high emotional empathy so when they see someone sad they notice and become sad too, but they have poor cognitive empathy so they are unable to pot themselves in other people's shoes and imagine what its like to be them.
