My mom spoiled me well into my early twenties and I only recently thought about how much it really screwed me out of developing into a functional person.

I'm 28 and still living with my parents, never held a job, still being spoiled. Dad seems to be on his last nerve, though, never liked how mom raised me.

I'm too dependent on her to stop and I don't even know how to go out and survive on my own. For fucks sake there are 18 year old kids living alone and working jobs and I'm just here being a drain. Makes me really want to die.

I'm semi-spoiled. My parents were pretty lenient about stuff lie chores. I rarely did chores, and they didn't do much to enforce it. As for school, my Mom would nag me to do Hw, so we eventually agreed that if I did well in school, that she wouldn't nag me about it.
As for asking for things, they only occasionally gave me stuff that I asked for, and I eventually only asked for stuff for my B-day, or for small things like candy.

Also for college, my parents did all the financial stuff for me, the loan, and stuff. I never even needed to ask them. Hopefully I'll get a good job so I can pay it back myself.

I'm in highschool, almost done with my senior year, and my parents failed to give me any sense of responsibility. I never do my homework, I don't have any chores, I only come downstairs to eat dinner, then I head right back up. I rarely get outside, because my friends never do anything. I have a 1.8 GPA and no college would want me. I was considering a military career to try and give me some structure, but even they have a GPA requirement. I'm watching my life slip away from me and I can't do anything about it.

Poor people are all very very social. This is true. Plus when they are unhappy they can point to a bunch of shit and say, if I fix this, I will be happy. It might not be true but at least they always have hope.

I was homeschooled and remember having to roll coins so we could afford flour to make bread. Middle class shits are the exact opposite of robot.

How exactly would I be forced to socialize? Just walk down the dirt road until I see someone? There's church twice a week and that's it. When you are homeschooled you are the graduating class. About all there is to do is read or try to catch birds with snares and shoot small critters that come in the yard. Only shit ones like possums though. I liked the coyotes.

Rolling coins refers to placing coins in a tube for convenience, 50 pennies is $0.5, 40 nickels $2, and so on. Coinstar before Coinstar. We lived in the Bumfuck nowhere and we're Christian, so homeschooling is the only option.

That doesn't sound very Christian. We weren't Mormon but we were still religious. My father was a pastor so the congregation would definitely notice if she worked. Why even have kids if it's a double income family? It defeats the purpose.
