Okay /r9k/ I made the mistake of applying to a small pizza restaurant that my family and I go to frequently.
I got the job, and it's actually an awful place to work. I applied for a part time position and They've given me 41 hours this week.
How long do I have to endure this before I can leave on good terms?

Do you have school and work?
If not I say to be thankful for 41 hours man. You'll need a job eventually to pay rent and all that'll be a good way to keep you employed and with good money.
If you're in school I see the problem, if not... You got lucky, most people I know would love 41 hours. Hell, I'd do all week every day nightshift and day, I need the money man

Yeah, I'm going to a Community College at the moment.
When I submitted my application, I had an open schedule. I'm taking online courses this Semester due to some car problems I had early in January. That said, I specifically requested part time, and mentioned the fact that I'm a student during the interview.
I don't like the job regardless, and I want to quit. I just want to make sure I can leave on good terms, and not be the "guy that worked there for a week" every time I go in as a customer.

I would talk with them about the whole too many hours thing then. If they are giving too many to complete then I say work there a few more weeks then give the 2 weeks notice and say it's due to schedueling issues with college.

Thanks, anon, I'll give that a go.
This is an original comment.
I'd say tough it out, but really try to convey to your boss that you can only do 20-25 hours or so. When a boss says he needs you it seems to only be a half-truth. If you weren't available somebody else will be. It will be okay. Get on his good side.
