The answer is that plenty of girls aren't willing to date you, and there are likely plenty of girls you aren't willing to date (yes, no fat chicks or non-whites counts as "plenty").

Now considering that gays are about 4% of the population, if there were literally no cases in which two gay dudes didn't want to date each other (which obviously isn't true since homo couples divorce and break up all the time), and only a tenth of all girls in the world would be willing to date you (ie the bottom of the barrel, lowest 10%, 1/10s) you'd still have more potential partners than any homo.

When you consider that plenty of the same factors exist for fags as for straights in terms of their preferred kind of partner not wanting to date them, it means that while gays CAN date each other, the actual likelihood of finding another gay to date is way lower than of a straight guy finding a girl to date.
