here's some tips:

>head up
>don't slouch
>try looking in the mirror at the reflection of the camera aperture
>additionally try looking at yourself in the eyes
>try various poses: smile, smug, semi serious, half smirk

Click the shutter button over and over and over for each. Take a good 100 photos or more. You may find a decent one of you may not.

Don't sweat it, do you realize how much time girls take to get the perfect selfie? An inordinate amount of time, I'm sure of it

Feel you so hard. I do have like 1 good pic of me from 2 years ago and I literally look like a 7/10 chad in it, not kidding. Every other is pic between 3-4/10

I feel the same way OP, if it helps you could always flip the image to what it would look like in the mirror. Takes a long time to find an image I don't mind and even then I don't like it. My suggestion is to take images and wait a week or something and see how you feel then.
