A date is usually meant to get to know someone, to find out if you two are a good match, which you won't know after one date offcourse.

As mentioned before, you need an opportunity to talk, a movie isn't a bad idea as it can be used as a subject to start the conversation, but make sure you can get a coffee or something afterwards

Go with that in mind, you want to get to know her and you want her to get to know you.
