Passing my driver license test next week and I'm really scared.
It's really hard to drive a manual and I don't feel confident behind the wheel yet. I think on a good day I have some chances to get it but I'm not optimistic.
Improving yourself is terrifying when you're scared of everything.
So do you have your driver license ? Not scared to drive ? any tips ?
it's ok if you don't pass the test on the first try. look at your left mirror, right mirror, and rear view (in that order) every 5 seconds. drive the speed limit. if you're nervous the instructor will understand, but try your hardest to be confident anyway.
also try to take the test using an automatic if you can. and then learn manual in a parking lot afterwards.

where the fuck is it a requirement to test with manual?
Robots actually have an advantage during driving tests
The instructors deal with know-it-all teenage normies all the time, a robot who knows what he is doing but is practically on the verge of tears the whole time will get a pity pass every now and then provided you aren't overtly incompetent

I find it weird that there are places where it isn't.

im in quebec and it's not a requirement
The car is a tool, an extension of you. You are in full control of it.
The only part of a manual that has some difficulty is going from a standstill to first gear. Timing the clutch is critical and every blue moon I'll lurch it slightly. Haven't stalled in like two years though.
Everything beyond that can be mastered in like 72 hours.
