Does /r9k/ believe in God? I've been an atheist my whole life but I think I want to start going to church now.

I've been an atheist since childhood but I wish every day I could believe. I've come to appreciate the structure to life that religion provides. Go for it OP, worth it just for the morale boost belonging to a faith provides.
I was raised in a religious family, but I adopted a more scientific mindset as I got older. It didn't help much that my family was crazy religious. I was basically in the closet about my lack of faith for most of my teenage years. I didn't bring it up until sometime in my 20s, and only because people explicitly started asking me why I wasn't going to church anymore.
Anyway, that's not something I'll ever revisit. I've had more than enough of religion for one lifetime.
>Does /r9k/ believe in God?
No.
I thought I did when I was younger because I was an edgy reactionary. Now I realize I never really believed to begin with, and that it's idiotic.

Some boat anon. I think I saw something like
Step 1
>Going to church like you're supposed to. Believing in god like you're supposed to
Step 2
>Become Annoyingly Athiest and Anti-Theist
Step 3
>Become Agnostic and stop carring about life.
Step 4
>Realize the communal aspect and how it keeps civilization together, thus start going back to the church.
i've been an atheist my whole life but some night (recently) I was in deep thought about life and free will and shit and something just clicked - now I pretty much believe in some sort of higher power that is responsible for giving humans true free willDoesn't mean I believe in religion tho, I don't know why that higher power would care what I eat and if I have sex before marriage
This is how it went for me
>Born in sort of religious family
>Debated with atheists during pre-teen years
>Became le edgy atheist
>Eventually became agnostic (but hated/feared God)
>Experienced God's love and became Catholic
It's been a bumpy ride but, God is good and he is real and he is love.
I could never believe, there is just no evidence to convince me so. So many contradictions and God doesn't even seem like a good person to me.
No, been atheist my whole life.
I think religion has some good values, though. I wish I could at least feel guilty for being lazy and a glutton.
