I used freenode for a long time as it has most programming and technology related channels but I don't like its policies on logging and tor usage, also it has started to get this weird startup vibe to it and I felt out of the loop on everything

so I switched to onionirc because of the security for a while but it really wasn't for me it was for teenagers who like to DDoS things and I felt really out of place there

now I don't hang around anywhere
