"Call me Jonah. My parents did, or nearly did. They called me John.
Jonah John if I had been a Sam, I would have been a Jonah still not because I have been unlucky for others, but because somebody or something has
compelled me to be certain places at certain times, without fail. Conveyances
and motives, both conventional and bizarre, have been provided. And, according
to plan, at each appointed second, at each appointed place this Jonah was there.
Listen:
When I was a younger man two wives ago, 250,000 cigarettes ago, 3,000
quarts of booze ago."
still any tips?
Get something relevant to your interests and not something that's teen novel-tier
That book sounds gay. Pic related is a superior robook.
reading is a skill, start with a comfy book like the hobbit, then edgy teen novels like catcher in the rye then read something that interests you like >>35867955 suggests then read famous books, put a little effort into figuring out why people love them so much but don't be a phony and pretend to like them if you don't, it is ok if you don't, no one cares, you read for yourself
by reading this
My personal favorite is Warm Bodies.
Please do not hold prejudices based on the movie. The movie was shit.
The writing is the best I have ever read. The perfect inbetween of not stupid and not pretentious shit.
Admittedly, the ending felt rushed, but the book overall is amazing.
I am Legend is pretty comfy, though slow at times.

Fucking kek, whatever generation you are is fucked
Fuck Rose's recs, read something interesting. Read Sci-fi, it's like a bridge between fantasyshit and good literature
Start with basic classics, like 1984, Brave New World, Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep
Then move on to Starship Troopers, Foundation trilogy, Dune, Stranger in a Stranger Land, Childhood's End, The Forever War.
Then move on to more recent stuff, like Neuromancer, Altered Carbon, Old Man's War, Consider Phlebas, Leviathan Wakes.
