I work for an animal control company, half our business is getting squirrels out of people's attics. Once they find such a nice, warm, dry spot you have to either kill them or release them miles away or they will be right back to get back into that attic

I caused a car accident through negligence (wasn't paying attention, which I told the police and my insurance company too), which resulted in two cars getting scrapped and the guy getting hurt a bit (nothing that wouldn't heal within the next week).

I was tried in absence and sentenced to 35eur. I think the police thought I was a good boy and believed it was an honest mistake. My insurance paid out 4500eur to the other guy, and my yearly rate went from 250 to 320eur (you're legally required to have this insurance).

That's a baseless assumption. I'd wager everyone has an accident at least once in their life. You will have to drive while you're sick, tired, when it's dark, raining, snowing. You'll look at something and in that exact second something unusual happens and you can't react in time.
I was looking at a military vehicle and the guy in front turned into a side road with maybe 30% the speed that would have been appropriate and the contact surface was still only 10 inches wide (which ironically caused much more damage to either car, since the force was concentrated to such a small area). It was literally a matter of less than a second and I would have missed him. That shit happens eventually. Everyone my age has had some kind of small accident by now.
