>suspect I may have autism or some other social disorders
>start researching on how to obtain a psychological evaluation
>insurance doesn't cover assessments
>$250 just for a consultation
>actual assessment is likely to be over $1,000
Is there a easier way to 'just get professional help bro' without my wallet getting professionally raped?
same reason i haven't done it.
people with legit diagnosis are the ultimate norms
get better insurance.
that's about it.
"You'll probably have to pay for the evaluation yourself. Most insurance companies in the US don't cover adult ASD evaluation. Be forewarned, a full evaluation can cost anywhere from $1500 to $3000."
>$1500 to $3000

what problems have you been experiencing?
>>35832445
Typical /r9k/-tier stuff.
>khhv
>no irl friends to speak of
>trouble socializing (especially in groups)
>spend my free time alone in my room
>had a lot of behavioral problems as a child that never got diagnosed
It's not bad enough to where I can't hold a job (I've been working mostly full time since I was 18; I'm 20 1/2 now), but I can tell my predicament is not normal.

yeah this is typical for real. do you feel inferior to others without actual reason?
>>35832671
No, but I do sometimes feel inferior due to actual reasons.
>>35832154
No. Everything in this shitty fucking world costs money. I can't keep myself together enough to get a job, so I've desperately tried to look for alternatives before.
There are none. Even being a criminal costs money. If you can get a job, then save money and get diagnosed and possibly meds. There's no other way.
I'd kill myself, but I can't even fucking afford that. Don't be me, Anon. Get help.

>I'd kill myself, but I can't even fucking afford that.
Literally stop eating and drinking. It'd even save money

I have a job, money, and a car, but the problem is I don't want to lay down 3 grand for Dr. Shekelstein to tell me whether or not I have asd. I can think of much better things to spend 3 grand on.
