Solution to being bullied in school: act shy and quiet and timid but very polite when you are spoken to. Act like that at all times and people will know you as that kind of person and defend you.

Works every time. Doesn't matter how you look, your personality will make you seem like a vulnerable but good person who needs to be protected. It might work past school and into college or work, but I don't know because I've been a NEET since finishing.

Sometimes that's all it takes. How much did you like/care about school? If you hated it and didn't care about it, sometimes you just need to be able to avoid obstacles and get back home faster. Do you want to try and stand up for yourself and get picked on every day, with little to no gain if you do succeed, or do you want to be defended by people who might think of you as less and avoid obstacles.
Come to think of it, I kind of liked being defended like that. It made me feel like a little boy again, which is a happy feeling. Being thought of as less doesn't always have to be negative.
