>>35823190
I hate this entire fucking state.
>>35824547
East coaster here.. Redpill me on Oregon.
>>35823190
Are there attractive women in Oregon or are they all fat feminists with green hair and those pointy thick glasses, with arm sleeve tattoos?
>>35824574
It's beautiful, really. Trees and water everywhere, really mild weather, all that good stuff.
But the people are passive aggressive weenies. They act elitist as fuck about the coffee and beer they drink, they never shut up about it. I've never met such picky, ungrateful people, and they've all got the same sense of superiority.
>>35824688
and nobody knows how to fucking drive here.
>>35824601
Answer me you filthy nigger faggots REE
>>35823190
Just came back from there
Most of Portland proper is just full of homeless crazies, druggies, prostitutes, and fucing undesirables
Hipsters seem limited to a handful of streets/boroughs
The rest are either the rare champagne socialists found only in expensive restaurants or blue collar hopeless junky uneducated slobs
I bet only 5% of the city is actually "okay"

Fuck all of you faggots, I left Portland after 18 years to go to uni in rural Ohio. You have no idea how nice this city is, especially compared to shitholes like Cincinnati
>>35823190
I just moved in today from Chicago. What should I expect?
>>35825169
Generally, a more laid back vibe, and housing is getting more expensive
>>35824984
>blue collar
>uneducated
The majority of licensed tradesmen I've met (and I'm a tradesman myself, so that's a fair number) have college degrees, and either never even bothered to use them or worked white-collar for a few years before growing tired of being a cuckold 5 days a week. Many of them make six figures, too.
>>35823419
I might going homeless this year.
>>35825718
Living in a car, couchsurfing, or full-on "sleeping at bus stops and public parks" homeless?
>>35825757
The latter it appears. Maybe a homeless shelter if they're any left.
>>35825757
>living in a car doesn't count as homeless
Dude, get a reality check,.
Aesthetically a great place. It's so pretty. Transit's nice, love to take the bus.
Moved here in August.
But I've hated just about every person I've met.
>>35825890
I moved here a few months before you and I feel exactly the same.

What place is going to be the next Oregon or Portland?
I feel like Flagstaff, Arizona might be the next Portland.
Sherwood here, come smoke and play smash traps to the front of the line
>>35823190
Anywhere else in Oregon is better than Portland.
>>35823190

>>35826338

>reality check
Read my post again, I didn't say it wasn't homeless, but it's a different kind of homeless. If you have the backseat of a Civic to sleep in, sure it's not luxurious but it's a far cry from sleeping on a park bench or catnapping at your local Starbucks.
I've frequently been in places sleeping in the backseat of my pickup, and sure it's not too great but damn if it's not one hell of a lot better than not having the backseat of a pickup.

Ouch. Hopefully the weather's not too cold where you are. If you need it, churches can generally put you in contact with a helpful organization if not outright give you a (temporary) bed for the night. I'm a fedora tipper but I'll gladly sing praise to jeebus for a few nights, besides, people in their own church are generally pretty nice to you.
