I go both to 4chan and Reddit, but lately I seem to spend more time here.
While Reddit is great because its content is better organized and you have actual history, it can often be too normie/whiteknightey/politically correct and edgy or unpopular opinions are heavily downvoted by normans and apart from a handful of subreddits (which are brigaded by SJW assholes if they are public) you have to weight your words. That is a double-edged sword - on one hand, karma is equivalent to reputation in the real world and being a hateful idiot thus has consequences in both. On the other hand, it leads to overall correctness.
4chan is very free in comparison. You can say nigger and not be jumped on by an idiot who sees offense everywhere, or be banned and downvoted. The site looks like shit, and there is no history or real order, but there is lot of fun anyway and you can write your edgy heart out if you feel the need. On the other hand, if you are new to the internet, you might be easily offended or shocked and disturbed. I know people who would cry if they saw the shit I see on the internet daily. But 4chan is not as bad as it sounds. People here can be really fucking nice, though it is usually more fun to be edgy.
Anyway, these were just my random thoughts...

reddit gets alot of shit but its actually not that bad, you can watch porn, see alt-right posts. but however, the users of reddit are not like people here, they tend to post innocent shit like puppies or how some dude in japan did a thing.

4chan shits on reddit, reddit shits on 4chan. none of them are as bad as the other side likes to make it out to be.
when you have enough of some drama or shit or whatever (or browsing /r/watchpeopledie , go there and go to comments, that is some top quality edge), you can just go to sub dedicated to cute animals. that not bad.

Here because the users are barred out of real life, they try to take revenge acting like 'muh sicrit kkklub' and calling people faggots, but even so, it feels much more natural and unforced

Reddit is moderated circlejerk aids and it's completely useless for unbiased discussion.
Good for news, but so is 4chan.
You'd go to reddit for news archives, how-to's or for old reviews.
