That happened once when I was thinking about renting a place. The landlord showed me around it. Someone was still living there. It didn't feel right at all.
It was a really tiny apartment. There was a bedroom, a small kitchen in what used to be an understairs cupboard and a bathroom in what used to be another cupboard. The landlord had carved up a house so that the living room alone became an entire apartment.
He was charging 500bongs a month for it.
