I've had good results with the Vapor Genie. There is something of a learning curve but it's a pretty neat little device.

You can use a hemp wick as a heat source instead of a lighter, and in fact that is recommended as ideal by the manufacturer.

The Vapor Genie is more efficient than a bowl.

Unfortunately I ended up breaking mine somehow by removing some little metal doodad, and clogging the filter stone, and replacing that thing is kind of a pain. I should have been more careful with it.

I dunno what this means, but with the Arizer Air I just turn it to the green setting and once the light is solid, I can get super great vapor out of it for the 10 minute timer, I love it.

The Air might be better than the Extreme Q. I never tried it.

The "burn off" refers to how you're supposed to let the Extreme Q stay on for like half an hour or so, to "burn off" manufacturing residues, to prevent contamination of the vapor.

However with mine, I can tell there is actually a piece in there that melts and releases fumes every time I turn it on. I've read so many other people have had problems like this too.

I was much happier with my Vapor Genie and I might get around to fixing it one of these days. It's very low tech but I like how there are no plastic parts.

I smoke bowls whenever I'm chilling out and wanting a mild relaxing feeling or I'm saving weed but if I wanna get high enough to zone out and laugh at everything I need to smoke at least half a gram pretty quickly. The rate of consumption vastly effects your buzz hence why edibles and extracts are a different buzz. To me blunts and bowls have a different buzz.
