This is very true. Comedy is what happens when a person faces a serious dilemma. He doesn't have the skills or capability to win, but he gives it his level best anyway and hilarity ensues. Comedy is hope when hope is unreasonable. If you have hope, you can laugh about your fucked up situation because you believe it can get better if you try.
