yeah i also think of that, but would they have to be not modified in anyway to really be considered "collectible" with value?
I want to mod mine like the autist I am and make it look ultra badass, but i don't want to lose or forget any of the original parts in fear that it would be null and void without them.

I have the complete set of books somewhere, up to the point where they went under water, which is where they lost me.

What were the dudes that rolled up into balls called? Those guys and the rakshi were always my favorite.

I never paid to much attention to the sets though. I'd building the "proper" figures once just because I like building things from instructions. But then I'd often take them apart and make my own shit. Had my own canon and everything, it was super autistic and I loved it.

I think I still have most of them in a bin, if a thread is still up tomorrow I'll get it out and post some of the shit I find.

The idea of making all the cool extra stuff at the end of making the instruction booklet was always really cool, but I was too sentimental about the ones I had already built to make any of the other ones. I remember really liking to read about the lore of the creatures in the world, I had this little book thing filled with a bunch of them that I thought was super cool. I think it also showed the alphabet in whatever language is used in Bionicle, because I remember trying to include some words in it in school projects for some reason.

I'm quite convinced Bionicle gave me autism, I was obsessed to the point of following the lore (it was written by a dude who came from the Star Wars EU, mind you) until its cancellation in 2010, coming up with OCs and my own convoluted headcanons instead of making friends.
