Is 4chan a bad habit? If you just stopped coming here altogether, do you think you'd be happier?
It's a constant feedback loop of negativity and hatred.
Anybody who stays here long enough knows that it's incredibly bad for you.
It's also very hard to leave it.

there's nowhere else to go
everywhere else is normieshit or dumb
>>35764698
this. smack my shit up family
This isn't a banner for no reason
>>35764698
You'll find negativity and hate moreso in real life than on /r9k/, though. At least here I can say I want to be a professional musician without everyone telling me "muh college degree!"
>>35764738
>Wasn't a banner for no reason
FTFY
>>35764620
i know for a fact i'm happier when i'm off 4chan
however, there's no better place for me to practice
>>35765064
Practice what? Social skills?
>>35764620
This place is like my personal friend simulator. Well, that and the porn is good.
It depends on how you use the site. Some people just get poisoned and become better and have twisted worldviews, others learn things, and become more fit or cultured. Most people somewhere in between. I would probably leave the internet all together if I could, I much prefer interacting with people irl, but sometimes I have no friends and end up with nowhere else to go.
>>35765184
>become better
Meant to say become bitter
No, you come here because you are unhappy.
>>35765074
ideological perversion
>>35765184
>implying our views are twisted and not red-pilled
>>35765000
Checked, but looks like it still is
>>35764620
Nah, ever since i started coming here i've become less autistic
>>35765447
4chan i mean, not this board, this board is cancer and i only come here for the belly gf threads
>>35765468
>less autistic
>belly threads
Sure, m8.
>>35764620
I'm perfectly happy, and I think 4chan is partly responsible for that. I like posting here and having people with similar interests to me that I can talk to.
If I were to leave 4chan, I'd be a lot more bored and with little to do.
>>35765000
>they got rid of all the good banners
fuck this faggot shit
apparently history doesn't mean anything and culture is a lie and shit's just built on sand so there's no point in trying to care about the future. fuck it
>>35764620
It's important not to take everything here seriously
4chan and ESPECIALLY /r9k/ tend to show you a very negatively skewed view of the world. You'll see people on here posting about negative things but never about positive things, so going on here all the time and seeing only bad things will be bad for your psyche.
If you do come on here just remember that the stuff being posted here is a very skewed perception of reality and doesn't really represent real life.
Also there are a lot of mebtally ill people on here so I'd take everythinng I read here with a grain of salt.
Tldr: Negativity bias is huge here, also everyone is crazy.
>>35764620
from personal experience, 4chan is a bad habit. i started browsing it at the beginning of last semester and eventually became really depressed, so i stopped using it and started feeling better very quickly. but now im back...
>>35764620
No this is my social life, I'd be much sadder.
>>35765569
Before 4chan, I was using Gaia, so I think I'm happier.
>>35764698
This.
>>35764724
And this.
I tried to go to Facebook, but people really aren't joking about how dumb people are. It sucks, because I realized FB is actually a really cool platform from a technical perspective It's just geared towards people who already have friends they talk to regularly and 90% of the content people post there is stupid comments on advertisements or sharing "viral" videos by adding somebody's name in a comment.
I like talking to people here, but there's no "real" interpersonal communication between people. It's the equivalent of jacking off but for social interaction. I'm still lonely as hell.
>>35764620
It's too late for that.
Far too late.
>>35765559
>he doesn't take it seriously
Normie out.
As long as you stay away from /int/ and /pol/, this is actually a pretty cool place to be.
I've been browsing various boards for over 8 years. Would probably be happier if I stopped, but I don't think it's possible.
>>35764620
If the only board I browsed was /mu/, I'd be fine. /pol and here cripple you to the point where everything you think is negative.
>>35766166
/mu/ is more cancerous than /r9k/, though.
Don't put the cart before the horse. If you were already in a hole, this site will get made you a home in it.
>>35765632
Facebook is the normalfags's second social life.
>>35766197
I mainly go to /mu/ for /gg/ though I admit even that thread is starting to get cancerous.
