WHY DON'T JOB EMPLOYERS ASK FOR IQ, I COULD GET ANY JOB I WANTED IF THEY JUDGED BASED ON THAT
But due to having no experience at twenty years old, I can't even get a McJob. Fuck this.
You can't have a high IQ if you willingly want to become a wagie...
Probably because you're not showing any way your intellect can be applied in any meaningful way. Learn a language or take an online course and put that on your cv. Or if you're really all that smart teach yourself economics and learn to trade stocks or some shit.
>high IQ means you can just magically do any job
>Einstein could do surgery
>>35693395
>learn a language
Useless.
Assuming you live in an Anglo country, English is all you need.
>Or if you're really all that smart teach yourself economics and learn to trade stocks or some shit
This 2bh.
>>35693395
>Learn a language
this is a meme
learning a new language is just about the most effort possible for a very minor boost to your cv
I had to take an IQ test for a job recently. Don't know how well I did but they made a nice offer.
Companies mostly care about experience. By that I mean that HR managers skim your CV and LinkedIn for whatever words the real managers asked them to find.

>I had to take an IQ test for a job recently.
wtf lol
next I bet they are gonna start asking people to take the MBTI
>>35693652
>learn a language
>Useless.
False. As anyone with high intellect would probably agree, exercising your mind by learning a new language not only broadens your horizons and increases your opportunities, but it allows you to keep your mind sharp and shows others that you are capable of making and sticking to a long-term commitment.
There's a reason that many of the world's leading minds can speak multiple languages, even those in 'Anglo countries' as you put it.
>>35693793
there are companies who already do this
>>35693793
Yeah I also had to do some kind of psychometric test.
From what they told me there's a threshold below which they won't hire. What mattered more was the impression I made on the people I interviewed with
>>35693817
I am >>35693662 and speak 3 languages (2 fluently, 1 conversationally)
learning a language takes hundreds or thousands of hours and the overall boost to your cv is minor
there are many reasons to learn a new language but getting a job is not one of them

>WHY DON'T JOB EMPLOYERS ASK FOR IQ
"Diversity", Anon.
>>35694003
that's probably correct lmao
can't have iq tests when only the top 20% of blacks can even score a 100
>>35693652
>>35693662
true, i'm still a student but i don't feel like this will give me an advantage
>t. fluent in 5 languages
>>35693201
Because it's not only intellect, but already learned relevant job skills and social skills. It doesn't matter if you have a 140 IQ if you can't speak to the McDonald's customers.
>>35693201
>IQ
le tip
>>35693201
I bullshited my way to engineering tech. I you were truly smart you would do the same. The trick is humility. Somebody with actual exp is not going to need to talk themselves up. If you were truly smart, competence would to the talking for you. Also your resume will never be checked if you don't fuck up from day one.
>>35693613
He could probably learn how to in a week though. Intelligence directly affects your ability to learn new skills. If I were a small company I would rather employ one enstien than 3 specialists.
Move to the city and be a lyft driver

>>35693201
Its either because you're probably lazy af or don't had money before
