For board specific memes, I keep them in their own folder. For general reaction memes and general memes like wojak (feels guy) or Pepe, I dump them in a folder called Reaction folder. Things that don't belong in any specific thread, I just keep in a 4chan general folder.

My desktop memes folder is several GBS now, like 15 or somthing.
I still have all my download memes from middle school. I'm 23 now.
Plus now webms are a thing now.

I have separate folders for each of the 10+ memes that I have created or started. Most of them have sub-folders that include variants for different boards, screencaps of posts featuring my memes, and derivatives and edits made by others. I also have a screencap folder which has sub-folders for each of my memes. Most of the screencap files are snapshots from [s4s] stickies.

Oh, and I also have zip files of 1000s of rare Pepes and Wojaks, mostly created by others.

All of my images are thrown into a main folder, once I get enough of something to make it it's own category, I make a folder of it and move all the images of whatever it is there. To keep it from getting disorganized I go through and delete the leftovers in the main folder every so often and if I for some reason want to keep one I move it to my misc folder.
