Yes, he would have, considering you were not pure.
Purity is determined by your lineage, up to 3 links. If one of your grandfather or grandmother was polish, you wouldn't have had the same rights as a normal german, and no need to tell what would've happened if one just also happened to be jew (which is likely given there were 3 million jews in Poland before WWII...)
So yea, maybe you wouldn't get into camps, but your life would have been pretty shitty anyway.
