How do you punish yourself to try and get over your guilt? This

I find self flagellation to be effective.

Convince myself that it was in my nature to do as I did and therefore unavoidable.

Guilt does nothing for you. Life is the arbiter of right and wrong, and will punish any bad decisions you've made, rest assured. If you received no punishment, it wasn't a bad decision. Everything has a consequence.

As a child I would

1) Refuse myself food
2) Refuse myself entertainment, hide in a corner and cry all day
3) Hit myself, usually punches to the side of the head

At some point I realized that very few people discipline themselves and that they see it as behavior worse than weird, and I became disgusted knowing how many people actively try to get out of punishment. After homeschooling, college completely turned me off of self-punishment, and I instead dream about punishing others.

I don't close my window even if it's too cold. Tried to cut myself but ended up just scratching the skin.
Also eat junk food to die faster, but it doesn't count.
