Because I may be an autistic loser but I'm still not enough of one to spend half my time maintaining my gay ricer OS. I've been using Windows 7 for 8 years now, and it does what I use my computer for just fine.

NSA likely has access to a Linux machine too. But most basic malware, spyware, trojans, etc etc don't really work on Linux because of low marketshare.

Personally I'm rocking Linux Mint. Gives me that nice basic Windows XP feel.

You only spend time maintaining it if you're bad at it. I spend about a minute a week running pacman. It "just worked" for going on 4 years, even across a complete system upgrade (mainboard and all). Even windows struggles with that.

Arch user here, best linux distro for a shitposting desktop. Super fast, can have 60+ tabs open at a time, watch porn, play games, use 3monitors all at the same time withut any lag

So I would be spending a lot of time maintaining it. I'd like to have a custom-tailored machine that doesn't waste my hard drive space or my RAM but it just seems like too much effort considering what I'm used to just works.
