Lazy eye general

>people think you're retarded
>no one can take you seriously
>even worse than manlets
>not really disabled so no one sympathizes

Please come together in solidarity and share tips, I can't live like this anymore.

i have a lazy eye OP. it only drifts off sometimes though luckily, but it's still noticeable when it does happen. i'm really insecure about it.
>>
>>35583242
>>35583272

if i was you guys i would literally just wear a fucking eyepatch. gotta be worth the no depth perception.

then if people ask about it you can just lie or pull it up and go "now you tell me which looks cooler."
>>
>>35583313
How long do you generally have to wear the eye patch for?
>>
>>35583272
mine got progressively worse. it only started off as a slight droop when I was young, now it occasionally drifts off and I'm worried I'll go full retard in a few years.
>>
>>35583313
It just feels uncomfortable to have that thing pressing on your face the whole day. Anyone have any eye patch recommendations?
>>
>>35583242

Cystic acne and lazy eye are some of the worst deformities you can have

I'd argue worse than manlets and chinlets

At least chinlets can be cured thru plastic surgery, same with lazy eye in some cases.
>>
>>35583242
I had a crush on a guy with a lazy eye and even that googly eyed fuck turned me down.
>>
>>35583242
Not gonna lie, I may have expressed a thought that lazy eyes are unbearable unlike most other things. I don't even know how to make eye contact. It makes other shit like balding, bad teeth, over/underbites, bad postures, or acne look like nothing.
>>
>>35583242
I learned to mostly keep mine under control. I don't know how really to describe it, but it's noticeable if I'm not focusing, but when I feel it (which is most of the time) I can make it go straight.

Can confirm with pics if desired.
>>
>>35583884
Well FUCK

Should I just wear an eyepatch? I used to as a kid and got made fun of super hard.

When I was a little kid I went with the pirate style eye patch. Black cloth with a black strap.

If you're European or rich American there's also a surgery that potentially ca fix it.
>>
>>35583924
That guys an ass. I'd date a dude with a lazy eye, it's not like thier fucking dumb. It'd probably look really cute when theyre mad.
>>
>>35583924
I mean you'll either look like a tryhard teen or slightly gar depending on who you are.

Well I partially cheated. When i was 11 it was so bad it effected my vision, so I got a correctional surgery. It was slightly not corrected enough so that my eye drift was less dramatic and from there I worked on focus until I found a way to make it straighten.

If my eyes werent fucked up and my nose wasnt big
>>
>>35584292
Originally it was torture, it required constant focus and any drop made it go lazy again. However, after a few months and a few dozen hours in front of a mirror, it became habit, and now I have to try to make it laze again. Or just be incredibly tired.
>>
>>35584344
I read about this, apparently the brain can learn if you force it enough.
>>
>>35583980
>Their

Kill yourself after me.
>>
I used to have one when I was a kid, glasses fixed it luckily. I can move the eye independently if I want now.
>>
friend has a really bad one but he's cool so I try not to notice it.

cute/cool gril i know from the innerned has one also; was stabbed in the eye in an accident when she was younger, which caused it. i think she's slightly self-conscious about it.
>>
How do you see? Are your eyes out of focus or something?

I always wanted to ask
>>
>>35586169
your brain shuts off the vision for the bad eye. most people don't even realize they have a lazy eye when it first begins, it can start at a very young age with no major symptoms.

I remember when my 2nd grade teacher was teaching us about depth perception and told us to cover one eye. I was confused because I saw no difference, my mind had already shut off one eye for so long I was used to no depth perception.
>>
>>35586482
So you're telling me people with lazy eyes have depth perception shut off as if they're seeing with one eye only, as in seeing 2D only? What's the field of view like?

>talking with some qt
>"what's wrong with your eyes?"
>forgot that I had a lazy eye
>pretend I didn't hear her, drop my spaghetti and leave

I hate trying to make eye contact, it's not fair
>>
>tfw lazy eye
>Suddenly see things duplicated (instead of two titties I see four )
>Get glasses
>It's fixed with glasses but without them I see doubles
>>
>>35586788
yes it's kind of like this. My left eye accounts for like 90% of my vision so it makes driving a vehicle very unsettling because even if it looks like I'm driving in the center, in reality I'm about 2 inches from hitting the curb. Cant watch 3D movies either, the screen is nothing but a giant blur
>>
Lucky enough for me i had it corrected as a kid, parents didnt go through the therapy so basically my left eye is useless, at least it doesnt look autistic

i know the feels bros
>>
>>35583242

gotta get that eyepatch, buckaroo

Just wear an eye patch it would look cool and you would be hiding your eye. Or you could just cut your eye and then you wouldn't have a choice and you'll have a cool looking scar.
>>
Wearing an eye patch will make your lazy eye worse. Don't be so fucking stupid.
If you're really so self conscious about it, wear glasses with mirrored lenses.

Holy shit, I just remembered why my councilor at school weirded me out.

>introduce myself to her, chit chat while she goes over my entrance scores
>looks down to type a few things, then looks back up at me
>her right eye has taken a fucking vacation into the back of her skull
>somehow keep my composure while it slowly makes the journey back to it's rightful position
>this happens two more times in the 15 minutes I sat in her office

I couldn't for the life of me recall what it was about her that freaked me out. Thanks for this thread, OP
