Anyone else here who can't get into a hobby without being made fun of?
>watching lots of videos of chinese chefs
>decide I want to become one as it seems fun
>want to research chinese food
>know I need to learn what makes it taste good
>decide to investigate soy sauce and how it is important
>go to a chinese takeout place and order lots of noodle dishes but ask for no soy sauce to be used
>the chef LAUGHS at me
>gets me my food
>I go home and make notes on the difference in taste between the dishes without soy where I usually have them with soy
>important research so I understand food
>go back next week to ask for the same dishes with EXTRA soy sauce
>the chef sees me
>'OH ITS NO SOY MAN, SOY WON'T MAKE YOU GAIN WEIGHT DONT WORRY FATTY SOY WILL RIDE OUT BELLY ON YOUR CANDY'
>laughs and ask what I want
>feel pigeonholed
>ask for more soy free dishes
>been going back everyday and ordering soy sauce free food
>the chef always makes jokes
>wrote a menu of soy free food on some card, and was going to hand it to me but spilled soy sauce on it as a joke so I couldn't have it
Its not fair. I just want to try nd improve my cooking. why the fuck is everyone so nosy?
I don't know why anybody goes to any other board for comedy. This place is consistently golden
dude he's just amused with your idiosyncrasies
maybe next time talk to him about wanting to learn about chinese food flavors so he doesn't run wild with outlandish theories for your order preferences

It depends tho because sometimes nthing fun happens for ages but sometimes miracles do happen. I was there when that guy who paid to get raped by a trap told his story. Still laugh about it to this day.
Go to a different restaurant you retard.
Also, you want to learn about chinese food but you're not even fuckin cooking it yourself?
What?
