Sleep paralysis is where you can't move after "waking" because you're stuck inbetween sleeping and being awake, it generally involves nightmares which for some people can appear in the real world in the form of hallucinations.

I've heard a story or two though about less horrible ones, apparently this one anon woke up getting held down by this butch lesbian looking woman who was saying "just let it happen" or something like that, he broke out of paralysis though so nothing else happened, I wouldn't mind having one like that.
